We are 3 months away from the release of Disney's Live-Action Lady and the Tramp movie and we couldn't be anymore excited, but the movie release is a Disney+ exclusive so be sure you go ahead and get your subscription. According to Disney, the movie was always designed to be a home release. "There was not one discussion about whether we should make that for the big screen," Disney CEO Bob Iger told Barron's. "Everybody said this is a great story, would love to make it again, let's make it for what we call 'the service' internally."

What's the storyline?
It's the tale as old as time–a high-society gal falls for a guy from the wrong side of the tracks, and gets swept into his world for better and for worse. Only in this case, she's a fancy cocker spaniel and he's a street-smart, rugged mongrel. Cue romance, adventure and some extremely upsetting scenes at the local pound! The remake takes place in 1910 and "has a blues-ragtime vibe."

Meet The Cast
Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux will star as the voices of Lady and Tramp, while the rest of the voice cast includes Sam Elliott as Trusty the bloodhound, Benedict Wong as Bull the bulldog, and Janelle Monáe as Peg the spaniel. In a fun twist, Ashley Jensen will be the voice of Jackie–a gender-bent version of Jock, the irritable but lovable Scottish terrier from the original movie. Trusty and Jock were best friends in the original, so we can only assume they'll be equally inseparable in the remake. Monáe, taking a leaf out of Beyoncé's book, is writing two original songs for the movie in addition to her voice role.

The live-action cast members include Kiersey Clemons as Lady's owner Darling, Thomas Mann as her husband Jim Dear, Yvette Nicole Brown as the villainous Aunt Sarah, Adrian Martinez as Elliot the dog catcher, and Arturo Castro as Marco, a restaurant worker with a soft spot for Tramp.
